National Work
- The work that reaches beyond our home communities includes searching out illegal brothels and reaching out to women in the sex industry, offering them resources, hope, and a way out.
- Forward HTTF is also honored to be a member of The Shepherds since starting our organization in 2021. The Shepherd’s team is a collaborative network of NGOs that forms a small national search and rescue team comprised of specialized, extensively trained volunteers from across the country that travel to big cities nationwide, locating missing, exploited, and sex-trafficked minors, and at-risk adults.
- In 2024 The Shepherds were given 186 missing and exploited, trafficked children cases, and 19 endangered adults cases. These searches took place in Las Vegas, Detroit, Newark, Pensacola, and Minneapolis. Working alongside Homeland Security Investigations, State and Local Law Enforcement, and other local agencies, there was an astounding success rate of 87%! 178 of these cases have been closed!
- 2025 brought us a year focused on training. With only two major searches, along with individual cases given to us by law enforcement or families, The Shepherds were able to locate 105 missing children.
- The Shepherds started the 2026 year off with a trip to Las Vegas during the week of the Super Bowl, followed by an operation with U.S. Marshals in SoCal. We won't stop. We will continue to run after the vulnerable, exploited, and trafficked teens in this country, locate them, and get them safe.
2300 children are reported missing everyday.
Statistics show that 1 in 3 of those children will be
recruited into sex work within the first 48 hours on
the street.
